I thought i would say hi and welcome you to the site with one of my favourite new bands Tied to The Mast from Brighton and tell you a little about this collaboration between myself and Steve.
For the last few years i have been writing for various music publications starting with Rocksellout.com in 2007 for a guy called Kip, i spent two years writing with Sean Ryan before he branched out and set up Battery In Your leg. This was based in the USA and they have been three marvellous years from starting as a pretty small blog we developed the brand even having our own promotions company here in the UK putting on live gig’s. In 2011 i was asked as only one of 40 bloggers to judge the Glastonbury Emerging talent contest. One of the acts we put forward Louise and The pins went on to make the final eight from 7,500 entries. I also present an fm radio show for Future radio in Norwich Thursday evenings between 8-10pm. In July 2012 I approached Steve who has for the last two years been BIYL in house photographer about branching out with a new venture I had in mind. We intend to build on the solid foundations I have been given by Sean and put our own twist into this site the focus will be on new and emerging artists along with observational and lifestyle angles. I am also keen to push the thriving yet often overlooked music scene up here in Norwich as well as the best of new music from around the globe. Time for a little bit about me. Some of you will know me as stevehuntphoto, I am a live music and urban/street photographer based in Norfolk,UK.
My clients on the photographic front have included Atlantic Records, The South Bank Show/Sky T.V. White Sky Music Australia, and many, many others including numerous well known bands, some of who will have the images featured on this site.
I have been working alongside Mark shooting for Battery In Your Leg for a couple of years now and I was very greatful of the opportunities this afforded me in terms of my photography. But now it is time for a new venture; Play Pause Rewind. My photography will continue as before but my involvement in this site from it’s inception will allow me greater creative control, something I look forward to. I hope to feature some very creative people and events alongside our staple of good quality music from both the national and local scene. That is my agenda. I am looking forward to the journey and I hope some,if not all of you, will come along for the ride.
